Remember, remember the 5th of November

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

The memory of the Gunpowder Plot in Britain remains very much alive and well, its legacy preserved in the grossly under-rated movie, 'V for Vendetta'.

The ideology hehind this blog has been partially inspired by this movie. The various themes of chaos, anarchy and liberty are drawn from it. Even several quotes found scattered in this blog are derived from there:

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

It means that I, like God do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence.

Artists use lies to tell the truth while politicians use them to cover the truth up.

We are told to remember the idea, not the man. Because a man can fail. He can be caught. He can be killed and forgotten. But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed firsthand the power of ideas. I've seen people kill in the name of them; and die defending them. But you cannot touch an idea, cannot hold it or kiss it. An idea does not bleed, it cannot feel pain, and it does not love.
